and the Paxton Boys too. It's all over
now except the fighting, and I guess
the killing too. Getting drunk right
now is the better part of valor.

There were two regulars over here,
just before. They went outside, to
settle some argument they were
having, and both came back dead.
Blood spleens over the deluged
floor. Lily Langtry? Not for them
no more.

I do? Who is it there, fishing alone,
standing waist-deep in shoddy water?
