IT SURE SEEMED
It seemed like something even
when it wasn't. Your cousin the
flight mechanic on the angel
stairway to elation. Carrying
his nuts and bolts with him
in case lightning struck. Then
someone newer told him that
today's jet planes are more
glued together than they are
bolted. The higher technology
now is into adhesives and the
altered carbon chemistry of
newer things. It sure seemed
like a whopper, a whole-hog
lie, a tall-tale to end all others.
But what did I know?
I never even fly.
