II
Lifted the hammer to break the
ken, slaughtered the minions
midnight flashing; oh we're in
for it now. No? When I was a
young boy, I hid in a box, tried
on my father's huge shoes, made
my ice igloo in the driveway snow.
Those blizzard days seemed to last
forever. Now there's only nothing :
dad's shoe's but ballerina slippers,
igloos ice and snow all gone. I
want to break my days in two and
thereby get to live some other half
again; like finding a book with a
second life among us, like finding
a book with a second life.
