(because he can't work any faster).

I was perplexed (brain-solid dead)
for a long number of years : I peddled
my ice-cream spongecakes until they
all melted. Then I began freezing
objects - dice and dominoes and
keys, in the middle of frozen cubes
of water - ice-blocks with these
weird objects within. You couldn't
keep them out to look at too long;
they were really just a freezer thing.

I sold my heart to the junkman.
He brought it back a few days
later, saying it never had worked.
I told him (cold, cold heart) to
freeze it in a block of ice and
see what happens.
