NOW AND THEN
I walked around in a daze. I swooned like a madman
maniac. I went through the Lehigh Tunnel again. The
guy dispensing Wisdom turned out to be a moron, my
own, assigned to me. I had Boethius, and all his
consolations to bring me along.
-
Each morning it was 5am. I got out to walk the streets
to the train station local. One step ahead of another,
in a darkened morning silence with the birds and trees.
Lean me up against a bannister and bolster me until.
I can come again : distant clime, faraway vision.
