GAMBLING WITH CRUMBS
Where was it ever said that we were made to
gain? Gambling our lives away with time and
money, all falling in the end. You're out of luck,
Tiger. I played cards with Warren Zevon in a
downtown loft. He lost. I's warm up time in the
frozen west - the men are playing baseball in
their Sunday best : Tinkers to Evans to Chance.
You know the rest. (We're out of time until the
Timekeeper rests).
-
I try to think of myself as something other
than me; its the only way I can live sensibly.
