MIRABILE DICTU
Pace the waterfront slowly, and
leave nothing to be despised.
Let the handlers worry about
all that. I struggle again, and
this depression runs my sagging
head, for everywhere I look
there is something gone. It's
a potential nightmare for the
morning.

Even the pileated woodpecker
wears a frown. I see it, and I
watch it carefully. Apparently
it knows just what it is doing.
If I were a wooded skeleton
upon a tree, would it be busy
with its thrusts onto me?
