MADE TO BE PUNISHED
How come these condemned men
are still singing Christmas carols
in their chains? How come their
voices are still even working?

Part of their punishment, as I
read in the decree, was to have
their vocal chords cut. So much
gets left undone. A mute toot is
all they deserve. Bring in their
horns.

How come their wives and daughters
have not yet been taken? There's now
plenty of opportunity for that. Let in
another stupid phalanx of reporters,
and have them feast on this. What
a scoop it will be.

This is, otherwise, a distant town, out
here in the middle of nowhere. Made
to be punished, all men are born.
