DON'T GIVE UP WITHOUT A LIGHT

Germinate the fine emissions, and
don't give up without a fight. That's
really all you have to do. (I know, and
it's what I've tried to do). But madness,
death, and their entourage always hang
around. The conditions at the lamppost
where I'm meant to hang around are not
always ideal. Freddie the Freeloader,
with his baggy pants and crooked hat,
always steps around with his bottle in
his hand. Joe the Slasher ties up women
and leaves them down. Anyone wo ever
had a name is always busy talking up
his useless brand. The Cornucopia, where
we used to dine with music on the stage?
That closed up last century. Take if from
me - there's nothing left but a frugal and
useless life, still looking for its age. If
what you're seeking is something bright,
don't give up before the light : 'Rage,
rage' against the dying of that light!'
