We take it on faith that there's a solution
to most everything, until it's far too late.
All our little notions are gone. The small
villages and the twisted hometowns :
football heroes, astronauts, and FBI and
policeman legends. All. And maybe even
you knew one of them, when they were
kids on bicycles, with you. Running the
nearby woods about to be cut down.
The woods, not them, though not
necessarily either.

Building a life is like building a house
of cards. There's some enjoyment to it,
but the the wind comes, and it gets
all knocked down.
