AT THE GLIMMER
OF HAVENSBRUCK
I am one glide from Phoenicia and a mere
hour from here. In every direction I may
go the same things appear : hillside happy
homes and farmlands.
-
We let time do its own manner of work;
greening proclamations from every tree
and shrub; the rounding ring of the rivers'
waters everywhere running : a man on his
old porch, holding a guitar but sitting on
a kitchen chair. He waves as I pass.
