8660. CHARLES' PINK NEW PAJAMAS

CHARLES' PINK
NEW PAJAMAS
"I don't sleep like that, sorry. I wear my thin
leathers to bed : even on the hottest nights.
And I coat my face first, with Noczema.
Surprised? Not half as much as I. It all
started when I worked at Candyland.
It was a men's 'intimate' clothing store.
At first it was called 'Candyland Junction'
but later Arthur, the owner, he's dead now,
of AIDS, from 1988, he shortened it to just
Candyland, and no one ever did more. We
were two stores over from McNulty's,
you know, that coffee emporium  -  my,
those smells! I just loved it each day  -
those rough canvas coffee bags with
all those distant stamps. Oh, if only
I could do it all again! Christopher
Street, back when it was really fun."
