1959, Cleveland Indians maybe; had a breakdown
on the field. Went crazy, raving mad. They had
to walk him off over the third base line.
Was it, instead, a strategy, I thought, an
end of season move to intimidate the
opposition? I never heard much more.
Like Pee Wee Reese, one day he
was there, next day he was not.
