8629. MAGGOT

When those buildings fell there were
twelve of us. Now there are 299 million
drowning. It makes no simple difference
if the world is flat  - a flat raft filled with 
the dead would be no different: Men with
lists, mothers crumpled in grief, clumps of
people, yes, looking for the rest stop again.
Nobody waits and everyone wants.
How much time elapses in an hour? You
tell me because the hours are now days 
and the days are years. I'm still alive,
but are you still here?
