Mostly, you just buy what you need :
the day the vacuum broke, the morning
the coffee-maker stopped working. I can't
fiddle with those things, I just keep moving
on - buy another for twenty cents. I hate the
plastics, I hate the sense of screws stripping
and wires that bulge. Things are just things.
Can't be bothered. Can't indulge.
This is a world of objects, I've been told, and
I can see - soon they'll be objects with minds
that think, a drone to deliver the scold.
