7741. THE BIG HIGH-RISE CEMENT-HEAD ME

THE BIG HIGH-RISE
CEMENT-HEAD ME
Once. Maybe. The semblance of things real.
William Blake, it was, who said : "A cup can't
contain beyond its own capaciousness,' and I
agreed to that, my cup runneth over, and all.
-
'Lesson learning catching up with itself.'
Yes, I said that  -  and a long time back too.
I've used it a few times over the years, sprinkled
here and there in things I've written. You know why?
Because those weren't my own words, just my spirit's.
-
First thought that entered when I came back to life :
what, 1958? Still red and raw from fevered scar-tissue.
These were the words running inside my head.
'Lesson learning, catching up with itself.'
Yes, yes, and that's not all it said.
