TWO PARTS I AM LOST,
ONE PART I AM HERE
He put the screwdriver in the socket
and I watched the flash go off. He
disappeared in that flash. Like magic.

I sat back, just wondering what it
must have felt like : I don't wander,
I don't do things off-base. Not me.

I'm a fairly-normal guy : one waiting
for noises to subside, for the water to
boil and the dog to awake. All that.

There's got to be more to what meets the
eye than what meets the eye, I always
say. It's a conspiracy of one mind.
