PRESENT TENSE
(turnabout is fair play)
Nothing brings me joy, and my
attitude towards living is undergoing
change. I want to be nothing again.
-
Mary came by again today : the
dog-eared ensign of some felonious
army of deeds. Bringing water to
the thirsty; new soil to the seeds.
-
I may - after all this - warrant
a wiretap too. Just think of all
they could find out: Tomorrow's
winning lottery numbers, the
code to get into the vault, the
numbers to the Mayor's secret
accounts. I want it all? Is that
my fault?
