8554. AT THE MANOR'S EDGE

AT THE MANOR'S EDGE
There's nothing after this, really.
I've walked the circumference twice:
a snake pit, a garbage dump, and a
place of old cars, heaps of junk. So
what's the big deal here and who cares.
If this place was owned by some
feudal hand I'd maybe understand.
-
However, it looks more like a carpenter
from the inner ring of Hell somewhere
made it foul with a rubber hammer
and a carbine from China. Nothing fits
and the walls aren't flush. It's hunting
season every day, and the walls are
festooned with antlered heads.
All dead, fortunately.
-
I think they duped the Mayor and
Council into zoning this as residential,
just to get away with living here.
