7421. AT THE HI-HAT CLUB

AT THE HI-HAT CLUB
A nightclub boom like this would demand
better buildings : the distance, just off the
parking lot, has water  -  Newark Bay, New
York Harbor, whatever. The kids are rolling
a joint near one of the stanchion-piers. They
abound, and I see them have joy. Whatever.
On the three-steps-up overlook porch. I watch
the lady in her stunning dress. She holds a parasol,
for the night patrol, or a midnight stroll. It's all
of a piece, and a very pretty scene. What
there is of a night sky here, beckons.
