13,637. SPACEBOOK

SPACEBOOK
By the time they take down
Ninevah, I'll be gone. And surely
the ends of days shall follow, and
I won't be lonely-no-more? There's
a time and a space for time and space
to disappear, fall between cracks we
have no inkling of. Mechanical are
the great formations of the hidden
dimensions we only guess at : turtles
along a road slowing racing a deadly
toad. Rabbits without saying.
-
Nothing merits scholarship as much
as learning : dumb bunnies and those
ersatz genius kids mothers always
bellyache about. 'My son's a genius;
he only eats raisins and figs.'
-
'Turn, turn at the stream by the
ledge, as it runs along old Kendrick
Road, where the horse farm once was.
Now it's a powerplant for the men
who make electric cars.'
