A VERY FUNNY ALLEY
You make me laugh with your
shortcuts and sallies. The Red
Man Tobacco sign on the side
of that old barn brings it all forth.
We braise ourselves with expectations
and then wind up at home cooking
soups and heating leftover meatloaf.
I find that I can do nothing alone; it
all gets screwed up, done wrong, made
into some stunning disaster. If they
were fund-raising again tonight,
they'd never show my picture.
