SURREPTITIOUS DELANCY
There's no denying the Nile.
It's a river running somehow
south to north. How I can't
get over that stipulation still
baffles my inner world.

Yet, only as we look at things
funny or wrongly, does the clarity
of the situation come forth. Like
anything else, the statements
reveal the investigations:

History has many angles, and
that foreign river is never really
far away. I want to dream again
of the pyramids and the Sphinx
of Giza - but I can never seem
to draw them out.
