UNWITTING
SACRIFICIAL LAMB?
When the unwitting meet the unknowing,
there's probably a Hell to pay - twilight
runs the edges of that sacrilegious day.
I can't say anything past what I am
running, and even the cheapened
newspapers won't mention the way
it's all happened : an almost convenient
coincidence, every day. Estate sales,
with watches and old tools, men
standing around to talk about the
past. The ladies look at quilts and
the sewing techniques, while two
kids jerk about with a scooter.

A lifeline is a tension, and nothing
more ever than that. Some people
have dogs. Others prefer a cat.
