HIMMELFARB HITS HOME
The countertop was granite, and as
hard as the counter-argument he was
making: That there 'Was no element
of reality within the passing intensity
of a dream.' Well, OK, I guess not.
But I couldn't resist a barb, even
though it fell flat. My memory had
rescinded my own permission.
