NOT FOR NOTHING
Why was I dreaming Kol Nidre
in my last night's sleep? I was writing,
or re-writing it, it seemed, to be read
then aloud to a public array : a forum
of those like-minded souls. Tricksters
all? Is it not a repudiation before
the fact, for all oaths and allegiances
and debts and promises to be taken
in the upcoming year? Oh, goodness.
So many things I do not understand.
