7906. WHEN I WAS TIRED

WHEN I WAS TIRED
As hard as it is to wipe the warp, so
too do difficulties arise : everywhere there
are things amiss. When I was tired, I was
not clean  -  when I was clean, I was not
tired. I'd walked the woods for seven hours.
-
Feet that hurt, wobble toes, a strut too long.
Like a Cairn Terrier out of my league, now
finding these highlands and paths is hard,
a tough endeavor, yet a needed task
before dark. Yes, for sure : after the
lights go out, there is nothing.
