LIKE A REMBRANDT
Like a Rembrandt afire in
some Rotterdam hallway, I
listen to myself burning. One
of those so aimless portraits
now flaming. My multi-tiered
hat, atop my very dark head,
on fire as well, and raging.

Nothing really to be done, for
there is no fire-brigade here or
I would have seen one painted
already. It's funny like that - in
a town like this, what shows up
in census books and business
lists can't always really be found.
