MARTIN BUBER
I'd like to leave the trees and
the forest, and the scrutiny of
others. I am tired of being looked
at up and down by empty caskets
of renown. This is a dismal world,
and one which holds nothing but
a frugal sense of stupid juggling,
back and forth, to me.
-
Leaving the covered area vacant,
I'd like to stand aside again and
see the wide expanse of possibility.
Be damned, these small and
strictured things, by contrast
now (and I, and thee, and thou).
