JUNE TRANSPIRES
The May Apples are gone now; the
June Bugs too. Half this Summer world
already slides away. I stand winsome and
soiled. A pig here, in a smart, human suit.
There's no value to any of that, but it
doesn't matter now. They gave me a
TB test, today, as I entered. 'Mandatory
Government rule, and the damned needle
went in. 'It's highly unlikeable you have
TB.' I love the new use of words.

If the world too could be so re-defined,
it might then be a better place.
