14,340. RUDIMENTS, pt. 1,274

RUDIMENTS, pt. 1,274
(run amuck at tables of chance, pt.2)
I'd guess what I'm saying is
'watch where you're being
steered, not where you're
steering.'  If there's any sense
to that statement, it holds.
Part of the idea, as I see it,
is to keep people off-balance;
they are far more susceptible
to coercion and mass-direction
in that form. Mass delusions
and the hysteria of crowds
are much easier to ignite than
is the rigor and precision that
comes from facts and truth.
Those ruling over others
depend on that.
-
It all sounds so simple and
it puts me in a bad light for
pointing all this out; but I
stand by it. I spent my years
in the business of printing,
publishing and advertising,
and I've heard all the crap that
those people peddle in their
long-table strategy meetings
and ad-campaign steering
sessions. It's all manipulative
and it gets as 'primitive' as can
be, because that is where the
essential responses of people
can be touched on. The raw and
the tribal, the sexual and the
deeply psychological  -  those
are what's behind all that. The
things I witnessed in the 1980's
stay with me, real well  -  how
the strategists laughed at the
people to whom they were
directing their efforts. The
parents buy their cars and
cold creams in the same
manner kids buy Kix. (By the
way, now, 40 years later, who
ever hears of 'cold cream'? How
passe is that once-directive that
was thrown out to millions?
Noxzema and Pond's and Olay?)...
-
How things change is part of
the stylization that is peddled.
No one is supposed to want to
be out-of-touch or out-of-synch
with the world they live in; by
that strategy ideas are crammed
and forced into people's heads.
Cars change yearly; housing
styles change; fashions for all
things rotate - clothing, music,
misogyny, sex. Watching any
of those old things which one
still occasionally sees  -  the old
ads and old broadcasts  -  is like
nails on a blackboard to the
'modern' sensibility, but only
because the mind blanches at
being so out of touch. BUT, if
any of that old stuff ever was
to come back into style, or be
re-named as hip and retro,
which does often enough
happen, the same people
now scoffing at it would be
right back onto that old
bandwagon again, cheering
it on. It's all mental, and so
are they.
-
The idea now that 'Society'
and its rulers pushes is one
that aims at keeping people
nervous and off-stride. Issue
by issue, explanations and
disclosures are manipulated,
people are kept off-stride, they
remain irked and worried. At
9am, the Russians are being
handily bested in Ukraine, and
by 2pm they again are advancing,
making great strides, taking
Donesk. The sides and the info
constantly changes. In the same
way, through ads and propaganda,
it is clearly pushed that everyone
ought be gay, accept the differences,
and then overturn the apple cart
so that everyone too can be
trans-gender, or unassigned or
whatever  -  all as if any of it
actually matters. One minute
a food or a chemical is good for
you, the next week it's not; here
an asteroid is soon due, there it is
not; Hurricane season will be
dismal, a new disease is due. We
are cured, we can mingle; we are
not, and we must remain indoors?
-
How can an unsettled land like this,
deep and rank with ignorance and
stupidity, settle itself? Schools rot,
cheap degrees can be had on line
and on a tawdry for-profit basis,
producing not doctors or scientists,
but techno-fat-brats, schemers,
criminal justice half-hacks and
jesters galore. Sentimentality and
ire rule the day. Believe nothing.
All you are told is lies, and those
lies are drummed into your head
since day One. They involve Time
and Rationality, and Sequence.
You are NOT what you have been
told you are, nor is this world.
