THIS GENERAL OF THE ARMY
They put flowers in the rifle barrels? I
remember that. It was never much of a
symbol to me, but I saw it. Like the 'Daisy
Ad' too, in '64. I never saw that, but heard
enough about it to swear that I had. Now,
in the middle of this town, some crazy
outpost in the civic square, there's a
monument to peaceful protest.
Right there. Some General, and
his army, on the Fourth of July,
has to stop by to listen.
