7798. ANY BIRDS IN AIDA?

ANY BIRDS IN AIDA?
The weather is half the fun, and you know
I really hate opera  -  but what can you do
when these ham-headed actors keep trying
to sing? Outside Lincoln Center  -  even
though everything's called so differently
now  -  the professional students seen
wheeling their cellos are always high
on the go. Once was the Opera House,
another place was Zankel Hall, and yet
a third location held, on some farther
distant street, the place where drama
and music were stressed. Rich people,
jumping out of taxis. Yes. Are there
any birds in Aida? And where can
we dine after this God-Forsaken
recital is finished?
