8730. NATURAL MARCHAND

NATURAL MARCHAND
This life was lived in a natural way,
waves and ripples, flowers and dawn.
It was all against me anyhow, no matter
what, no matter why. I left it behind
me, glancing. Not even worth the
look back. I wish someone would
come back with another bomb.
Do me no danger, do me
no harm.
-
The stadium we wrote about, while
covering all those sports and races,
it became tedious, yes. And all those
places. Everything was a test. I can
sit here now, with the danger, amidst
a battery of silence. Nothing to say,
and yet no way to say it.
