YES, YES, AND THEN YES
Civilization comes with a bang;
all those things falling down leave
a rustle, noise in a tussle. I swear I
saw a rat. Yes, yes, well something
black like that anyway, crawling
away the twelfth street drain. I
tugged at my heart, but it was
gone so I took a drink instead.
Black gold, and who thought this
stuff up anyway? Drinking alcohol
on waivers; such a silly sin. It cuts
the skyline into two, a wavered
horizon, and me, and you. That's
three, but it'll have to do.
