GLIMMER
(rain and mirror)
Pelting, the water hits the
window glass. Beyond
the reach of gales and
bluster, all things within
this house remain in
place: cards on a table,
water in a glass, the broken
reflection of a cat and
some books. It is
too soon to make
this matter. The
material world, a
pale glimmer anyway,
tries once more to
be what it is not.
