413. AND HOW I HIT SO HARD

AND HOW I HIT SO HARD
Fragments such as these, left and
found in the bottom of a pocket.
Specks of paper and the lint of a lie.
Wednesday the 24th was nothing compared
to this. You know, since I've already told it,
how they hid in the alcove and jumped out,
fists flying, as they wrestled me to the ground.
-
Somehow, a knife came out, and then another.
With a changing complexion, my how that fight
went on. Blood came, things spilled. A loosened
tooth was a lucky break. It was over in ten minutes.
-
Which is a lot for a brawl, a long time to
fight getting winded, an era to keep from
muscle fatigue. You think it's easy?
Shows how little you know.
